THE BIG 30

On the 25th of November I celebrated my 30th. I still have trouble saying it. Somehow the age 30 snuck its little head into 2009. I remember dreaming about this time in my life when I was in my early 20's. What I would be doing, where I would living and how many kids I would have. Maybe not the last one, more like who I would be wearing. Apart from finding the odd white hair, I think I've done pretty well for myself. A great looking husband, who makes me laugh out loud at least 3 times a day. 2 handsome boys, a wonderful family (on both sides), my health and I have great friends that I love spending time with.

I think with age I would say definitely comes wisdom and confidence. I make better choices based on my experiences and mistakes. (Except when you start becoming technologically challenged and you delete a whole post: Viva Las Vegas *pissed*).
But I don't take crap from anyone. I just walk away from it. Not fight it. No, that's not true, if I know I'm right I usually fight. And I usually get what I want and I don't mean materialistically, I mean my gorgeous husband, my-in-laws, my friends. I prayed for them all and one day, they where in my life. So I would say that I sometimes have my very own Genie, but I have unlimited wishes. All I need to do, is dig deep and find my next goal. Its that easy. Because I know that somehow things have a way of working out for me. By choosing the right. That lesson took me about 10 years to figure out. At the ripe age of 25, I knew 'my way' wasn't working, so I thought I would give this God thing a go. To my surprise, I landed here. Not bad huh?

Mum bought me this hat and Emily bought the coat while we where shopping!

I kept low key on my actual Birthday, I mean you can't beat Las Vegas right?
We went to the Planetarium with Liam's pre-school. We didn't go watch the movie. Instead, Mum and I went shopping at the Gateway. After wards, we met up with Emily and Arden at the Olive Garden for a delicious lunch. I didn't take pictures cause it was crazy with 3 kids.

My little Noah

That night, we met up with a couple of good mates for dinner at Cafe Rio.
The plan was to go Ice Skating after dinner, but we hit the Mall instead.

Thank you everyone for making this year the best I've ever had!
Especially to my Mum, we got to celebrate it together.

Viva Las Vegas

For my big 30th B'day this year which isn't until the 25th Nov. I wanted to go all OUT. BIG.
Where else but VEGAS right? A road trip to the party capital of USA. We started our adventure early Wednesday morning and stopped by in St.George to see Lisa and Norm and new baby, Cache. I'm glad we were able to snuggle with Cache for a little bit before we headed to Sin City. He is so cute.

We finally arrived at our hotel the M resort which mind you is fabulous. I'm going brag a little here. But this place was amazing. Everywhere we looked it was like I was in contemporary decoration heaven. Not one detail was missed. I was snapping pictures for the heck of it, real tourist thing to do right. Well I hate those tourists that take pictures of Vases and walls. Well I was one of them. I was so embarrassed, but I didn't care cause I got some great ideas for our dream home one day.

We didn't have any real plans, if something good came up we would go for it. I mean seriously there is about a million things you can do in Vegas. Which made me pretty dizzy, serious party town. Clint and I had an adventure in Las Vegas back in Feb of 2007 with my cousins. We had just met so it was kind of all new. So had a lot more fun.

Vegas Flashback Feb 2007

Clint was pretty excited to have a go at Black Jack and I liked Roulette. We didn't win big or lose big either. But it was fun just watching Clint more than anything. My favorite line " Walk away, just walk away".

We had dinner at some pretty awesome places. We both love Sushi. We ate so much sushi, that I was actually full lol. A first for me, I think, well expect for the times when I had all you can eat in San Diego and last year for my B'day.

We were pretty lazy too, it was our first getaway in a long time, there were times when we just did nothing and hung out at the hotel just relaxing. Their buffet was amazing too. I had enough seafood to last me a month. We stuffed ourselves for 2 hours. Everything was good.

M resort Studio Buffet

I must admit, I really enjoyed the time away from the kids. Just two lovers with no responsibility's. All we worried about was what to do next and where to go. I think I started missing the kids when we were about an hour away from being home. (oops).

There was free entertainment everywhere, I loved watching the crowds get up and dance.
They were funny to watch, these guys had the ladies all hooked. Their specialty was Marvin Gaye "Sexual Healing".

Paris and Bellagio were probably my two favorite hotels. Both very elegant and just the attention to detail, it felt like your were in Italy or France. The shopping was amazing, I think I jumped a few times like a little girl when ever I saw, Chanel, Armani, Gucci, Prada. I'm glad I didn't have to drag Clint around he loved it too.

My man...

Bellagio

Paris

One night we went to a live hypnotist show, let me tell you something, I was pretty skeptical at first but I was shocked at the people on stage what they were doing. No flash photography was allowed, so no pics :( But we were entertained for 2 hours. I gasped and laughed out loud a dozen times. We loved it. I really wanted to go on stage, but by the end I was really glad I didn't cause it was really crude and naughty. I don't think Clint would have seen his wife in the same way ever again.

NEW MOON and House of Blues

We got pretty excited to hang out with these guys one night. They are so much fun. I think Lindsey is right, I can pass as a Quillettes and Lindsey as a Vampire. Clint and Nate almost fell asleep. But the girls enjoyed it anyway. Our fav part and I don't think Nate will ever admit this but when Jacob took his shirt off for Bella. Phew! Niiiice!

Nate and Lindsey at House of Blues

House of Blues had a incredible Jazz band playing originals and covers. The guys voice was amazing. Almost like Michael Bolton. We stayed around till late and munched on appetizers.
Thanks for an great time, we loved it hanging out with you guys.

My new love for Keith Urban

Also check out this song by Keith. My second favorite song right now. But I think Clint would disagree and say this is his favorite song right now.

The Stallings Clan

I'm Grateful for Mums

Hey, did I forget to mention that my sweet Mummy is here from Australia visiting!!

It's been wonderful having her here, its been 3 weeks already and they have gone way to fast. I'm already becoming anxious for her departure which isn't for another 7 weeks. Maybe I can persuade her to stay until January. Don't know how smoothly that would go with Clint. I mean having your mother in law living with you for a few months can be well you know - mind boggling. But I'm loving it. It feels like having one of your best friends with you all day. We are having so much fun. We had a girls night out last Thursday and we had a ball. Let's see, my two favorites things to do: Eating and Shopping. But we didn't finish shopping till really late, next thing we know we were sitting at Chili's ordering ribs and Texas fries. I think we staggered home from eating to much at about midnight.

Here is the thing, I'll admit I do have feelings of envy whenever my friends and family talk about seeing their Mums. Sometimes, it hurts. I try to remind them how lucky they are. I also try to put the feelings aside and just be grateful that I have a Mother who is alive and loves me. Even though she is far away, I can always pick up the phone just to say hi and that I miss her. The absence has made me appreciate her in a million different ways that I never could have imagined if I hadn't of been away from her.

Thanks Mum! I love you... You have made me feel whole again. You have also reminded me of who I am and what I have achieved. I hope I never take you for granted. I can't wait to spend the rest of the Holiday season with you and our babies...

Happy Halloween

We had a pretty awesome Halloween this year... Liam changed his mind on what he wanted to be about 3 times. Lets see, I want to be a Lion (check), I want to be a Fireman (check), I want to be a Skunk (not check). So, days before Halloween... Mum, I want to be a Transformer. Off I went to trusty old Walmart and found a bunch of scary looking Transformer costumes that just didn't do it for me. So I bought a cool Motorcross Rider "Transformer" costume that Liam loved. He totally bought the whole thing. When ever anyone asked him what he was - "I'm a Transformer". Me in the background mouthing "Just go with it". A little white lie isn't going to hurt his ego, right? As long he was happy and went door to door saying "trick or treat" which meant getting his favorite thing - CANDY. I was happy too.

The funniest part, while we where trick or treating he asked me to hold his pumpkin cause it was to heavy. When we got home he dumped all his candy on the floor and rolled in it like it was money. When he woke up the next morning to check on his precious candy, he said "Mum, my pumpkin isn't heavy any more", yep sweetie you ate a lot of the candy last night (and I threw a lot of it away while you were sleeping) ssshh don't ever tell him or he'll be really upset.

Product Alert!

Born Free

I have been using these bottles with Noah since he was 4 weeks we haven't had any projectile vomiting, excess gas, air bubbles or ear infections. The occasional spit up (once) but seriously no mess at all. I would really recommend Born Free, I have tried probably 5 different brands (Liam, my 1st guinea pig not me personally lol) and none of them even compare! Poor Liam he graduated from the school of hard knocks pretty early.

But I love these bottles, I would use them over and over again. The nipple is silicone and the bottle BPA free so it gets better. They are easy to clean and I have never had a problem with them. The only downside is the price ($15.99 - $18.99 for 2), but its worth it believe me I've been there and done that. I would highly recommend to any new Mum (or old MUms for that matter). If anything, they provide a little piece of mind.

Lamb Souvlaki

With a Twist

My brother Ali and his girlfriend Lisa decided to start their own youtube cooking show. I think it turned out pretty good (authentic). I'm definitely making this Lamb Souvlaki. I'm going to say its probably the most popular Melbournian dish. There is a Greek take out joint on every corner in Melbourne and believe me it's delicious at any hour! Did you know that Melbourne has biggest Greek population outside of Athens, so it makes perfect sense really...

The Road Less Traveled

There comes to mind the words of Robert Frost in his poem

“The Road Not Taken,” which concludes with these lines:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Where would I be today, if I hadn't accepted the Gospel of Jesus Christ?
I ask myself this question daily...

I Ache for the Ocean

I really do miss the beach. Gone are the days when I felt the urge to see the ocean and all I had to do was drive 5 minutes down South Road or head downtown to Geelong and there it was. I use to do this often. I felt like it this morning when I woke up and had that feeling where I needed to be close to the sea air and smell the seaweed that had been washed up on the sand. I don't think I took it for granted. I was there nearly everyday. Liam loved it too. I will return someday, the best part is I'll have 3 amazing people to share it with.

Back then this was also my favorite quote, I don't know who its by, I found it in a magazine.

It is a beautiful world. And yet, there is only one thing of value: Being close to the ones I love. They are the shells that protect me, the air on which I fly and the straw on which I fall.

Half Moon Bay was my fav beach about a 5 min drive from my place

4 Month Check Up!

Noah had his 4 month check up and he is doing really great. Healthy and happy little boy. He had his vaccinations which I hate cause they have no idea whats coming. But he cried for a few minutes than he was done. Didn't even carry on. Clint was able to come to the appointment which I always love and appreciate. He has grown up really fast and I'm totally in love with him. He has the happiest personality, he loves to laugh and loves being tickled. Still a huge cuddle bug. It doesn't really matter who it's from as long he's getting some sort of attention, he's dandy. We are really happy to have Noah part of our little family. We adore him so much. Couldn't be happier to have him in our lives everyday, he makes everyone smile and brightens our day with joy and laughter. We love you very much Noah!

Here are the stats..
Weight 15.6 lbs (75th)
Height 24.8 inches (50th)
Head 16.2 (25th)

Family Pictures

We spent last Saturday taking family pictures downtown, with our very own photographer Amy Stallings aka my sister-in-law. I think she has a great eye and will go far with her talent. We had a good time, originally we had planned on heading out to the Salt Flats but we didn't realize how far away they are (2 hours) yikes! so a quick change of plans and this is what we ended up with....

Thank You Amy, we love them all!

I love this kid!

Liams latest goofy picture face

There are so many things I want to say about Liam, he is an endless ball of energy. Lately he has matured a lot, like a growth spurt but only better. He has a vivid imagination and dreams up elaborate stories about the funniest things.

For example, whenever we talk about something interesting he likes to jump in and add his version of the story which usually ends with "I have that at my house, but mines bigger and with T-rex dinosaurs". By the way he has everything at his house!

He has quite a temper on him too, just the other day I asked him to go wash his hands and he really didn't want to and earlier that day we where practicing his alphabets. As he was stomping to the bathroom he yelled through his sobs "A is NOT for APPLE" I laughed so hard, with my hand over my mouth. I still laugh at that one.

He is a very smart kid, he picks up things really fast, he knows all his alphabet and numbers. We do a lot of spelling and alphabet games. He has this huge USA puzzle and he puts it together better than me! Just today we played the memory game and he freakin beat me. I love his little random facts, "Mom, when you eat food, it goes down your esophagus than into your belly" or when he tries to get my attention, "Mom, I have a question, its really important". He blows me away, his mind is like a sponge he soaks up everything around him. I'm sad that he lost his Aussie accent, now he has this American accent with a few words that still sound sort of Aussie, sad days really.

He loves having lessons and specially family home evening. He loves going to Church, I think socializing is his favorite thing to do ever! He loves spending time with his friends and cousins he would pick that over ANYTHING! He is popular with all the kids in the neighborhood and he has friends a lot older than him coming over to play with him and 80% of the time I turn them down cause it's kinda weird. He is always trying to make his younger cousins laugh by being goofy. They love it.

We play silly games that always makes him laugh out loud. Like "Silly Sandwich" where we have to come up with the craziest sandwich's. You usually win, cause you try to beat your Mom and Dad. Liam can be very competitive too, he wants to run the fastest, be the strongest.

He is observant and he knows exactly what's going on around him, it's really hard to trick him. He doesn't miss anything, he has the best memory. When we first moved to Utah he started to notice peoples cars. To this day we are amazed how he remembers everyone's cars. If we are out driving and he says that he saw someone's car we absolutely believe him with out a doubt.

He has an obsession with Candy. I can't stand it, he throws the biggest tantrums over it. He can smell the stuff a mile away, after you've finished it and swallowed it. It drives us crazy. We keep it away.

He is strong-willed, once he has an idea its very hard to shake it off and he likes to be in charge most of the time, but he loves it when I set boundaries. If I don't, he usually asks me the same question over and over again so I try to out smart him. To set him clear goals. "When the 9 changes to a 11 you can have some brownies" Otherwise, its a broken record. Until he gets what he WANTS. Drives me nuts. He doesn't give up easily, this will usually end up badly. Him in time out until he gets it. Which he is an expert at.

Liam loves to help, really the best little helper ever. He is good at changing Noah's diaper and getting him out of his PJ's. He loves to help in the kitchen, he makes his own pizza. Carefully selects the toppings and places them precisely where he wants them.

He says the most amazing prayers, he recounts his day and thanks everyone for making an appearance or playing with him. It really makes us laugh and melts our hearts. His sense of humor is amazing too, he will come into my bedroom in the mornings and show me a cool dance move or what kind of exercise he has been doing. I love it, cause he usually makes me laugh. He thinks its hilarious whenever we kiss him and he wipes it off. Lately whenever we (Clint & I) kiss, he usually says "YUCK". His favorite T.V show at the moment is Little Einsteins and fav movie Dumbo.

When he was a little younger he loved being tucked in with a little song. He would ask if I could sing the "angel song" (Sade, Kiss of Life) and Daddy would sing "If I were a bird" Ryan Shupe. Oh how I miss that. I cherish those moments.

He is a beautiful special little man, he fills my life with adventure and there is never a boring day. He always surprises me with his wit and intelligence. Although he can be a little stubborn at times he knows exactly what he wants.

I know that Liam will makes us very proud when he is older, I mean he already has. But, he is a born leader. He is very passionate about life and I think he will go far in which ever journey he chooses. We love him very much and he is a blessing that will never fade away. He will always shine!

Date Night

Last night my beautiful husband and I went out for our first date night in a long time. We have been so caught up lately in our day to day lives that we just forgot about us.

It was kinda a surprise from me, but he caught on.

We were both so excited and anxious to go out, I was giggling while I was getting ready and had butterflies cause I was really looking forward to just being lovers again.

Ruby Tuesdays for a scrumptious dinner and than for the best part - SHOPPING at the mall.
We went to a whole bunch of stores and just hung out holding hands and sneaking kisses. Trying goofy stuff on, I felt like newly weds.

We laughed out loud all night and had so much fun. Our favorite game is "Remember when...." we love memory lane cause we usually remember it differently and swap stories and thoughts.

I don't think I'm allowing another 4 months to do that again!

Love you babe, you rock my world xoxoxox

Getting My Craft On

Well who would have thought that I could make something like this in 3 hours with a baby hanging off my hip, certainly not me! Well I might be exaggerating a bit, about the baby on the hip. Noah was getting all the attention in the world from the RS sisters, when this little craft project of mine was being completed. So I had two free hands most of the time. I must admit I am quite proud of myself. You see, I come from a place where this stuff is made on TV with your host Martha Stewart, you watch it and leave it at that. This was kinda huge for me and for Clint cause he thought he married that girl. You know the one that watches Martha Stewart and than sighs after wards cause she wishes she could do that. But I think he might be wrong. Oh well, I've caught the crafty bug (whatever you wanna call it). I can't wait to see what I come with next!

Off the Hook ALERT......

OMG- Have any of you blogsters heard the new Miley Cyrus song- Party in the USA?! If not, you're in for musical magic. (Clint)

Overdue Girls Night Out

So last week a bunch of us headed out to party up! It was my BFF's Birthday and we wanted to go all out... First, we had dinner at Biaggii's downtown, then we sang the night away at a seedy Karaoke bar. We had a blast, I mean I haven't laughed that hard in a very long time. We were the only sober crowd in the joint and I think we had more fun then everyone else. A few of the girls stayed out way past my bedtime, but at least they got to sing Fergalicious and AC/DC.

Me, the B'day gal Emily and Asusena

Little Noah

3 months ago today, our little man Noah was born. It has been an amazing experience second time round. Here are a few things he loves to do:

-Noah has the sweetest personality always smiling and loves being cuddled.
-He loves his older brother and he is always entertained whenever he is around.
-He loves it when Liam makes him smile and give's him plenty of kisses.
-Noah like's to be rocked to sleep.
-He like's to be a big boy and stand up.
-When he is lonely and by himself, he starts to complain with baby talk.
-He is a cuddle bug, that's when he is the most happiest.
- I mean I can go on and on...

We love our little guy so much, we can't get enough of him. Thank you for blessing our lives with your presence everyday. We love you very much!

Noahs Blessing Day

Last Sunday, we were able to bless our little baby Noah and share it with all of our family and friends. It was a very special day, I was smiling all day long. The day filled my heart with joy and peace. There something about baby blessings that just, I don't know melt my heart and make me feel all warm. I know it's the spirit giving me these emotions and that I am really grateful for. I start to tear up and begin to imagine this little souls future and all the possibilities life has to offer. Almost 4 years ago, I had Liam, then I joined the Church and was baptized. If someone were to tell me that one day soon, you are going to be living in Salt Lake City, Utah and on September 6th 2009 your husband Clint, will be blessing your son Noah. I never would have believed them in a thousand years.

To this day, joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been the best decision I have ever made. It changed my life, outlook on everything and best of all it changed me. The world was opened up to me and my blessings were awaiting me. All I had to was reach out and grab them one by one. I have gained many life lessons and one lesson that I can pass on is - When life shuts one door, it opens a window and all you have to do is jump.

It was a perfect day!

New Moon Trailer

I'm having a hard time waiting for this movie to come out! It's right around my B'day so I think a GNO is in order, who is in!!!!????

First Day of Pre-School

Liam started pre-school on Tuesday, we are all so excited about this. He has been asking me since the start of summer if he could go to school "Mum, when can I go to school", "I want to go to school today". This has been one of the biggest highlights of the year and summer.

So of we went to pick out a new back pack a toss between spider man and speed racer. We had a little melt down (tantrum) at Target during this, as he really wanted a lighting mcqueen soap dispenser in the bathroom section (cause we happen to walk by them) so he ditched the back pack, well threw it on the ground. He had no clue what he was even holding (frustrating!). But it didn't matter, cause it had lighting mcqueen on it. We left Target empty handed, I wasn't having any of that. I kept saying "to bad, to sad, now you don't get anything". Was this the best way to start the school year? I think not. In the end I just surprised him with a Speedracer back pack and he loves it.

On the first day, he was nervous and didn't want to go to class, he kept clinging on to my legs. It was so weird, if anyone knows Liam it is weird cause he is really social and wants to be with other kids all the time. But in the end he was fine and when he came he couldn't stop talking about it.

He starts at 9.30am and finishes at 12pm, 2 days a week. Teacher Pat has been teaching pre-school for 35 years, she has two helpers. He has already made a friend, Easton. Which really helps. They have nearly the same B'day (1 day apart), he is so cute.

I can't believe it, my little boy has started pre-school. I mean, I remember when he was born, like it was the other day, I really need to just enjoy everyday cause one day he'll be going away to College. We love you Liam, we are proud of you.

Pretty Excited!

What I Love Right Now

I can't get enough of Ina Garten, she is by far one of the best 'natural' cooks I've seen. By natural I mean, she does everything so effortlessly. She makes the meals look easy and best of all her recipes get me excited about cooking. I must admit there has been plenty of times where I have been sitting on the couch watching her cook something amazing and start to drool. Then I stand up, and think right that's what I'm making tonight! Well guess what I did tonight. I made her unbelievable, super delicious, amazing pizza dough. Up until now I was making my own dough recipe that was passed down to me by my Sicilian friend Maria back in Australia. Well my friends (sorry Maria) no more boring pizza dough for this pizza loving family.

We started this family tradition about 6 months, I make the dough and Clint makes the pizzas. We love it. So about once a week we make our own yummy pepperoni, mushroom and black olives toppings pizzas. And if you want to catch the Barefoot Contessa she is on the food network everyday at 11.30am (cable).

Best Pizza dough recipe eva! Enjoy...

Pizza Dough

  • 1 1/4 cups warm (100 to 110 degrees F) water
  • 2 packages dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3 tablespoons good olive oil
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour, plus extra for kneading
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
For the dough, combine the water, yeast, honey, and olive oil in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a dough hook. Add 3 cups flour, then the salt, and mix. While mixing, add 1 more cup of flour, or enough to make a soft dough. Knead the dough on low to medium speed for about 10 minutes until smooth, sprinkling it with flour, if necessary, to keep it from sticking to the bowl.

Here is how it turned out...

Noah's first word!

I wouldn't have believed it, if I hadn't heard it with my own ears. It was a typical night, soon after a bath. Noah was lying in his towel on the bed, just hanging out. Up to this point he had been making noises, but no words. Well, he must have been saving up for this doosie: As clear as any elf or wizard from middle-earth would have said it, he spoke the word- "Aragorn". For those unacquainted with Lord of the Rings, here is a little excerpt from Wikipedia, no doubt written by someone who has never, and will never kiss a girl:

"According to the appendices of The Return of the King, Aragorn, named after his ancestor Aragorn I, was born on March 1 in 2931 of the Third Age, the son of Arathorn II and his wife Gilraen....When Aragorn was only two years old, his father was killed while pursuing Orcs. Aragorn was afterwards fostered in Rivendell by Elrond. At the request of his mother, his lineage was kept secret, as she feared he would be killed like his father and grandfather if his true identity as the descendant of Elendil and Heir of Isildur became known...Upon Sauron's defeat, Aragorn was crowned as King Elessar."

So apparently little Noah is not only a huge Lord of the Rings fan, but also speaks Elfish. We are very proud, and a little worried.

Family Day at Cowabunga Bay

Last Thursday the Stalllings clan got to spend the afternoon at the Cowabunga Bay!

We had a blast, everyone came. I was really impressed with the all the different slides. I wasn't to keen on the slides mainly because the water was sooooo cold but Liam kept looking around for anyone who would take him. I personally loved the lazy river, Clint and I did a few laps, we laughed our bums off. Mainly cause Clint pretended he was dead and floating on top of the water face down and passing the 16 y.o life guard, who nearly crapped his pants. Me laughing my head off cause it looked so real. Best part was when the kid (life guard) stood up and poked him hahahahaha YES poked him to see if he was alive. I swear I swallowed so much water laughing that I was coughing it up. I went to bed that night with a grin on my face cause every time I thought about it I would start laughing out loud.

Baby Noah got to have a little dip too, we borrowed a swim diaper from Caden which luckily fit and off he went with Amy, Grandma and Daddy. He loved it. The kids pool was warm with pee water so he didn't mind at all. Overall we had a great time, we laughed together and spent some time with the family. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Stallings, we love you!

Baby Noah - 2 Months

What can I say about this little miracle or should I really be asking myself, where do I begin?

He had his 2 month check up last week and he is doing really well. Weighing 12 lbs and he is 23 inches. So that was all great news, check that off the list. I finally decided to put him on a schedule rather than demand feeding and so far it has been working. During the day he nurses every 3 hours and the evenings every 4 hours. This has helped my sanity a lot. We are 5 days into it and he is getting better everyday, yippy!.

Our little boy is growing up to fast. He has such a sweet nature. He loves cuddles and being held really tight. If he could have it his way, he would want to be held and carried all day long. He never gets tired of it. I can cook, put my make-up on, clean well just about anything while holding little Noah, he loves it. But hates it, when we put him down. He has like a sixth sense about it even if he is asleep he knows! Mummy's boy alright, he loves to nurse and bury his face into my chest and fall asleep (precious to me, I love it)

When I put him down for a nap and he starts to cry after a few minutes I go in to settle him, I love it when he looks up to see who is comforting him once he sees my face he gives me the best expression to say "oh its you mummy, now everything is ok" it just about breaks my heart.
When ever he is disturbed from his naps, he has the sweetest little cry's, to most people it can be annoying but to me it sounds like "I need you mummy", I pick him up and he lets out a little last cry to say "where were you" and then his bottom lip quivers (oh so sad), melts my heart.

Our little Noah started to smile really early on when he was just 4 weeks! He loves the sound of my voice, when ever I'm getting ready and I put him on the bed with lots of pillows propping him up he follows me around the room, I like to tell him what I'm doing "Mummy's putting her lip gloss on". He chuckles and smiles to the sound of Liam's and Clint's voice too. We love listening to him baby talk its adorable, I just want to eat him up whenever he does it. He'll look straight into your eyes and tell you a story followed by an open mouth crooked smile, I'm in love.

He loves to be in the middle of everything watching us, listening to everyone talk. If we put him in the car seat he screams and carry's on the entire time until he is picked up or can see us again. He's getting much better though.

We love our little man very much these
milestones remind me I better enjoy every day, because it all goes too quickly. I cant wait for the next phase because I'll fall in love with little Noah all over again that I'm sure of.

Pae and Sarah - Back on the Melbourne Shuffle

Pae and Sarah are back with the Melbourne Shuffle in a new music video performed by Scooter - J'adore Hardcore. They shot it in Melbourne and mostly St.Kilda which is a trendy cafe style part of Melbourne by the beach. I think it looks great and they both look awesome. I'm proud of my little brother. He has always had a passion for the Melbourne Shuffle and being a DJ now its paying off. The rave scene is huge in Melbourne. Dj's are treated like celebrities and the music is worshiped just like Country music here in the States.

Love at First Sight

My Bob

I finally cut it all off! and I must say that I LOVE IT... the best change a new mommy can make to feel young and sexy again.

Freedom

If you have been paying attention to the news lately, you may have seen the story of "Neda", a woman who was killed during the protests that followed the election in Iran, and has since become a symbol of the injustice going on there. If not, it may be because the news has been dominated by ridiculous Michael Jackson news (did you hear he died?!). The "goings on" in Iran are of particular interest to our family being that Elle was born there, and still has family there.
The story struck a cord with me for several reasons. Partly because she was so young, and its always hard to see that happen to someone your age- even when you don't know them. Partly because were it not for Elle's parents leaving Iran 20 years ago under the pretense of a vacation and never going back, it may have been Elle. But mostly because of the cause that she (and others) died for. I hate to be cliche', but freedom isn't free and I think we take for granted the fact that we can say what we want, vote for who we want, buy what we want, etc. all while people are getting shot just for speaking out against a government that doesn't represent it's people. So, a big thumbs down to you Iran.

One Flaw in Women

Women have strengths that amaze men..
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
But they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
And laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.

They don't take "no" for an answer
When they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.

They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
And cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about
A birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
Yet they are strong when they
Think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
Can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colours.

They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
To show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what
Makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.
They have compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their
Family and friends.

Women have vital things to say
And everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH..

Noah's 1 month

NOAH

I really cant believe our little Noah has already been with us for 1 month, it's gone too fast. Best part is that I'm really enjoying it 2nd time round. He has been precious, the 2 hourly nursing sessions are wearing me out but I love to nurse him its our special time together. He is finally starting to settle into our little family and home. He started to smile and chuckle yesterday I had tears in my eyes when he did it, because it makes every little bit worth it, to see and hear that your own bundle of joy is recognizing you. I'm at that point now where I just want to squeeze him and shower him with kisses cause he is so cute. We adore him and love him so much!

awww

wait for it

here we go (a face only a mother could love)

LIAM

As for Liam, well poor little guy has been a great big brother. Although a few little attention seeking episodes have left us to wonder who's kid is this. We have been doing our best to make it up to Liam by going swimming, to the park, hang out with family and even letting the TV babysit (KBYU of course) no complaints there. Don't worry Liam, Mommy will be back soon I promise. Just hang in there.

Liam & Judson (BFF)

US

Clint has been the best Dad any new baby could ask for, we went to Gateway last night and Clint carried Noah in his arms the entire time. While I got to check out the latest fashion and look around. Nothing sexier then a man who shows his love for his kids.

If you don't get chills watching this, then you're a coward.

Our baby Noah

2 weeks old

Precious little Noah is 2 weeks old. Wow, it as gone way too fast. So where do I begin- the birth was amazing. It all started at 1 am Wednesday morning. Now this may sound weird, but I was in la la land dreaming away than all of a sudden I heard my water break. Yep you heard me, it was a 'pop' like a water balloon, but there was no rush of water. I was just laying there waiting for it, but nothing. Soon after the contractions started, we started getting ready a few last minute things and my contractions where about 2-3 mins apart.  I'd say they where painful enough to stop me from walking or moving. I felt like there was enough time to drop Liam off at Clint's parents and aunt Amy was waiting for us. Clint had sent her a text message - "Operation Valkyrie is in effect" which I thought was hilarious. On the way to the hospital on the highway I started shaking and I knew right away I was in 'transition'.  I started to feel the the baby's head moving down and felt like we where going 20 miles and hour- I checked our speed and Clint was going pretty fast.

We arrived at the IMC in Murray just after 2-am. Mind you we had pre-registered weeks before and here I was standing at the nurses stations being asked a zillion dumb questions to which the answers had already been given at the aforementioned pre-registration. i.e insurance, DOB, allergies blah blah on & on.  I was cursing my bum off (quietly). C'mon you should have all of these details right? Apparently not. Moving on, they finally put us in a room and the contractions where coming faster and much stronger. The nurse checked me and I was already 8 cm dilated - yikes!

They contacted my doctor and she had just delivered another baby so we had missed her and was on her way home. She arrived about 15 mins later, checked me again (I was 10 cm dilated), and gave me the go ahead to push. So with every contraction I pushed and by the fifth push he was out!  A total of an hour and a half born at 3.38 am It was truly a miracle, to this day I am astonished by this. Everything else went pretty smoothly everyone was doing well. Clint was amazing too. He really helped calm me cause I can be a little aggressive when it comes to hospitals and doctors. It all went to plan (all natural) and the recovery has been great. Noah is my little angel baby, he had his 2 week check up today and he gained a whole pound (8.12). Obviously he loves to nurse. He is very alert and loves to be held and loves falling asleep to Enya. We love our special little guy so much.

Noah Reed Stallings

The world finally welcomes our new son Noah, born June 18th at 3.38am, 7.12 lbs and 21 inches.

We are grateful that he was born healthy and we feel blessed that he picked us to be his parents forever. He is a real treat so far, let's see he loves to nurse, poop, toot, pee, burp and sleep, yep that about sums up his favorite things to do at the moment. Noah we love you very much and welcome to the Stallings family...

Feeling Overdue...

Baby Update
-40 weeeks-

My due date was officially today June 10th. Yep. I honestly thought I would have the little ankle biter by now. But as nature calls it - nay. So folks this is where the waiting game begins and people staring at my humungous  belly and saying 'ohh you must be close' with a lot of sympathy in their tone. Me replying 'yep still here' with a courtesy laugh hahaha ha ha (thanks).

I had my last Doctors appointment today, all is well with baby and momma. So we decided just in case things don't get started in a week on their own, we scheduled a induction on Friday 19th June. Which I'm little nervous about cause I hate drugs (pitocin). We are becoming really anxious to meet the little guy. I am praying to have him soon. Hopefully the next post will be about our new baby son.

A typical day in the life of Clint

Good Times...

Baby Shower

Last Saturday my Aunt Kathy and my sister-in-law Angela threw a baby shower for our little bub. I'll tell you what he is one lucky little guy. He has no idea how much he is truly loved. Most of my family were came along with a few friends. Emily Shaeffer and Alison Young brought some fun games for everyone to enjoy. My favorite was Celebrity Baby by Emily, you went to so much trouble to put that together thank you sweety mwa mwa mwa xoxox. Anyway, I had 4 answers wrong, I thought I knew my juicy celebrity baby gossip. But little did I know that the dark horse aka Amy Stallings knew all of the answers! TMZ watch out!! She got a cute little prize that was accidently taxed by an anxious mummy. They will be reunited soon (I promise Amy). I had so much fun. Thanks to everyone who came and made it really special. We got a lot of wonderful gifts. THANK YOU!!! Love you all...

Liam's Potty Trained!

Yep that's right, our little Liam isn't little anymore. He is finally growing into a little man. He can go to the toilet all by himself now to pee and poo. Well let's see it only took 4 months of potty training. The peeing took about 2 months but the pooing, oh my gosh another 2 whole months. Let me tell you it wasn't easy. He was not buying it, nothing seemed to work. He was stubborn! We tried everything bribery, reverse psychology, manipulation, kindness, punishment, rewards, treats the list goes on and on. Finally we just gave up and let him poo in his pants. It was disgusting we just rode it out and one day guess what he got it! Now he spends hours in there singing, reading and the occasional flush. He's quite proud of his accomplishment cause every time he does a poo we 'need' to come and see. Look Dad it's like a banana, fire balls, mountain's, towers its pretty funny. I'll never forget the experience. We are very, very proud of you! Thank you for making our lives so much fun and making us laugh everyday. We love you very much.

32 weeks and counting....

Due to popular demand I have decided to give in and post some prego pics. Here's the thing when your pregnant and blowing out in all directions the last thing you feel like doing is taking picture's of your cute little belly (*not*) specially when your friends keep telling you how cute you look (*yeah right*) and you know they are just being really sweet and God bless them for it.

Well here is a little update on what's being going in my world. I've been going nuts on reading prego books but not the medical one's, you know the one's with all the crazy stuff about what happens to your body and how the baby grows. No not those. But the hilarious story's written by Jenny McCarthey, Belly Laughs and Baby Laughs. Risa Green, Notes from the Underbelly and Tales from the Crib. They all have been pretty crude but so REAL. The other crazy book I read and thought was a real help was Skinny Bitch Bun in the Oven. These girls talk about the effects food has on you and your baby I picked up so many great tips. Which has really motivated me to try harder to breastfeed and not to give up so easily. GET this... my girlfriend told me to blog about my absent mindedness about 10 mins ago, I thought sure gotta do that. Well guess what I totally forgot about it. She had to remind me to do it. Pretty funny huh. Well let me tell you about it. So I believe that when you get pregnant either your brain falls out OR you give all your really good brain cells (you know the one's you need) to your new bub in your belly. Mind you I think in my case they both apply. Do I hear a chuckle? yeah go on laugh, get it out. Here is a list of dumb things I've done:

Forgot my zip code and phone number. Milk in the pantry instead of fridge.dubbed liberty park "trinity park" because i forgot the name, Washed my face twice and brushed my teeth three times cause I couldn't remember if I did. I have had crazy food cravings, like sardines in the middle of the night. Anyway the list goes on.

The good news is that I've really had no RAGE or crying episode's or tantrum's. I've been emotionally stable and predictable. Thus far. A lot can happen in four weeks. So I sincerely apologize in advance for any outbreaks I might have until then...

HAPPY '1 YEAR' ANNIVERSARY

Well it's been 1 year since we got hitched at the Salt Lake Temple. I still find myself to this day day dreaming about my wedding day. It was one of the most memorable days in my life. Everything about it made me happy. My heart grew 3 times that day, filled with love and affection for my one true love. All of my dreams came true the day I married my husband Clint. Thank you for sharing 1 year amazing year with me. You have been the sunshine in my day and my rock to cling onto at night. I can't wait to celebrate more anniversary's with you. Your are my all, my heart, my life. I love you! Happy Anniversary...

Life can pass you by...

Last week I had the chance to get to the Temple, I feel really grateful that I had the opportunity to leave Liam with my mother-in law and sister-in law Amy for an hour. I know not everyone can do that. That’s just one of the reasons why I love my family so much, even though I don’t have my own mother and siblings here, my in-laws always make me feel like their own. They are the best in-laws you could ever ask for really. I love them all!

Anyway, I woke up early in the morning with a lot on my mind and I had a strong urge to get to the Temple and usually I go with family or Clint. But I just couldn’t wait. I was finally at the Temple doors when I suddenly saw newlyweds having their pictures taken with family and the amazing mountain scenery behind them as a back drop. I noticed that I exhaled and then smiled for a few reason’s ; one because I would give anything for a split second to go back to my wedding day and do it all over again for the sheer experience and the wave of emotions of being sealed to your husband for all eternity (and putting on my wedding dress *wink*). And two, what would I have done different since that day… and a flood of thoughts, conversations, flash backs came back. The year has gone really fast and I wish things would slow down well life that is. So I can devour it more and take it all in but we all know that’s not how it happens. The only thing I can do is start as of today and not let the days fly by.

Come What May & Love It

Our funny little Valentine...

Our first picture together ever!

My boy's!

My fat belly!

So for everyone who doesn't already know our 'true love' story here it comes... Clint and I met 2 year's ago on Valentine's day, it still amazes me. On our 'blind date' Clint had a list of fun things to do. We picked the Gateway... We strolled around, chatted about our lives and grabbed a couple of Starbucks. Than headed to the Capital look out and took a picture. Really romantic and cute. There was no kiss at the door but a definite second date. So we decided to re-trace our steps this year and we did the same thing but with a few difference's. Let's see we were married, 3 year old little boy and a bun in the oven!! It's crazy when I think about it. I shake my head in disbelief, because my dreams have all come true plus more. We all had a blast. I couldn't be happier and there isn't anywhere else in the world I'd rather be. To top it off we took our pictures at the Capital look out. Kinda like a before and after (lol). I adore my family and life. Thank you for giving me the greatest gift of all...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Birthday Liam!!

We had a little party for Liam's 3rd Birthday this year. We celebrated the night with family and friends. We had a ball, we ate sloppy joe's, salsa and birthday cake. Liam was loving every minute of it, well any kid would being the centre of attention. All his best mate's were there too. Happy Birthday to our special little man. We love you very much. You bring love and laughter into our lives. Thanks for everyone who came and made it a great night. Here are some pics from the night...

Ultrasound Pictures

5 month check-up....

Last week we had the ultrasound and luckily "it" wasn't shy. Spread-eagle in fact. Very proud. We are having a................................................

Wow what a B'day, Christmas & NYE!

Where do I begin? We had a fun filled Nov/Dec, it all began with my 29th Birthday, yes people you heard it right 29! It's just a number really cause I don't feel a day over 22 (I just need to convince myself). For my B'day we kept it simple dinner at the Chinese buffet and than the movie's to watch Twilight. It was a great GNO, we laughed, ate and drooled over Edward not the food that is.

A beautiful B'day card from Clint and flowers of course

What to eat next?

Strike a pose Emily

Emily dazzled me with a new clutch.
Thanks for a great night out girls!

Our first Christmas tree!
This year we were very blessed with so many wonderful things. We were fortunate to have been married in the Salt Lake Temple, to become a family, to conceive our new little bub and last but not least to get our first real Christmas tree.

A merry Christmas you say...
We had Christmas eve dinner at the in-laws. We played the chimes, this is a Stallings family tradition. One thing I love about Christmas is all the music. They seem to move me, so I really enjoyed singing and playing along. The rest of the night we played board games patiently awaiting for Christmas day.

Just warming up for the first song.

Christmas Day...
We actually slept in we got up around 8ish. Liam wanted to sleep in but we where to excited to let him do that. Clint had everything set up. Another Stallings family tradition is to tape up the walk way to the Christmas tree and presents with newspaper and walk through it. Clint and I both loved watching Liam's face light up when he saw the presents and his stocking filled with goodies. Afterwards, we headed to Clint parent's for Christmas family brunch and swapped presents and ate a delicious brunch.

Waiting on the stairs with cute smiles. Gosh, I love my family.

Waiting to break through the newspaper

NYE!!
We spent New Year's Eve with the Stallings family this year, last year Liam and I were on a flight to Australia. So this was a special night cause it was our first NYE together ever! I was really excited and happy just to be with the people I love most. We had so much fun. Clint's mum made a yummy dinner and we had the whole gang there. We played games all night and stayed up till midnight.

Liam still up at midnight

The Melbourne Shuffle

In Melbourne my hometown we have an interesting way of dancing from the rest of the world. We shuffle. I started shuffling about 10 years ago than outgrew it. But once in a while when I'm in the mood and people beg I might bust my moves. But the Melbourne Shuffle has come a long way and this generation of shufflers have their own style. Which I have difficulty keeping up with. One shuffler in particular is my brother Peyman or as his friends call him 'Pae'. Now he can shuffle... Well watch for yourselves... Peyman shuffling with his girlfriend Sarah.
